SSGI Signs Agreement with  Adama Science and Technology University

In a news report released by Space Science and Geospatial Institute, the institution has signed an agreement with Adama Science and Technology University to provide consulting services for the second Earth observation satellite project, ETRSS-2. The ETRSS-2 satellite boasts high-quality imagery with a resolution of 0.5 and is designed to operate for five years.

Furthermore, Mr Abdisa Yilma, the institute’s director, expressed confidence in the success of their objectives and emphasised the involvement of professionals trained in Korea and the Ethiopian diaspora, highlighting their contributions to the project’s success. This collaboration has broader implications for Ethiopia’s technological advancement, human capital development, and global competitiveness in the space sector, positioning the country as a key player in Africa’s emerging space industry landscape.
