The 72nd International Astronautical Congress begins today

The 72nd International Astronautical Congress (IAC) started today, 25th of October 2021, with the theme; inspire, innovate & discover for the benefit of humankind. The Mohammed Bin Rashid Space Center (MBRSC) is the IAC 2021 Host Organization. The IAC 2021 seeks to contribute to humanity and to science by strengthening and enhancing cooperation between all countries in the space sector.

The Congress will feature several speakers, including Space in Africa’s Temidayo Oniosun. It will also feature technical presentations, interactive presentations, special sessions and symposium keynotes. The congress will also feature associated events, including 

  • IAF public speaking & presentation skills lab;
  • Space Generation Advisory Council (SGAC)’s space generation congress;
  • Young professionals events;
  • IAF/ISEB educators professional development workshop; and
  • IPMC young professionals workshop.
IAC2021 at a glance

The International Astronautical Federation (IAF) organises the IAC yearly. Furthermore, the IAF is the world’s leading space advocacy body, with 407 members in 71 countries. This includes all leading space agencies, companies, research institutions, universities, societies, associations, institutes and museums worldwide.
