In continuation of the efforts to increase awareness of the benefits of satellite navigation in Africa, the Joint Programme Office (JPO) and the Agency for Aerial Navigation Safety in Africa and Madagascar (ASECNA) held the 3rd outreach event in Brazzaville, Congo to reach non-aviation communities such as agriculture, maritime, surface transport modes, survey-mapping, etc.
Under the patronage of the Republic of Congo, the Ministry of Transport, Civil Aviation and Merchant, the state has demonstrated its full support to satellite navigation implementation in the region and Africa in general.
The outreach event involved various stakeholders from the African Union Commission (AUC), the Regional Economic Communities (RECs), experts representatives from different states and the industry, and was complemented by live demonstrations on S-PPP and EWS.
