Space Advisory Company appoints new CEO

Space Advisory Company, one of the leading Newspace companies in Africa whose mission is to build a sustainable future through space enabled technology has appointed a new interim Chief Executive Officer (CEO). The new CEO, David du Toit is taking over from Duncan Stanton who recently joined TOPIC Embedded Systems as a Project Manager (TOPIC Embedded Systems is a system developer with offices in Best and Delft).

Duncan joined Space Advisory Company in 2014 as a Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) Product Manager & Project manager, the following year, he became the Engineering Manager of the company. In 2017, he became the CEO of Space Advisory Company and led the company to achieve many milestones. Recently, he was one of the three Africans who made the Newspace People top 200 Global leaders.

David who has about 16 years experience in business leadership has worked with Datapoint, TATIS Internationl and Azzurri Communications. He was formerly Chairman of Space Advisory Company.

As the new CEO of Space Advisory Council, Dave is expected to take the business to the next stage in its growth, responding to growth opportunities in the space market and ensuring its resilience and sustainability for a long-term future.
