Rwanda and UAE Sign MoU on Civil Space Activities

On the sidelines of the ongoing COP28 in Dubai, UAE, the Rwanda Space Agency has signed a memorandum of understanding with the UAE Space Agency to establish collaboration frameworks in civil space activities, fostering research and development, space technologies, geospatial data sharing, and initiating joint space sector projects.

Furthermore, the agreement offers opportunities for capacity building in space science and technology.

This agreement strengthens bilateral relations between both countries, as they already have active cooperation frameworks in various technical sectors, including education, hospitality, financial services, health, labour, and technology. As such, the result of this space agreement aims to spill over into other industries that utilise space applications and technologies.
