The STEM Conference & Career Expo promotes opportunities within the Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics field by connecting students and university alumni with blue chip corporate companies and STEM based organisations.

More education opportunities and exposure for STEM students and graduates are opening up and in July this year, cutting edge South African National Space Agency (SANSA) will be participating in the expo. Also, attendees can engage with the inventor of the Vehicle Energy Harvesting System (VEHS), Clement Mokoenene who will be speaking about clean energy and technology at the conference.

This year the expo will offer a networking experience for students and graduates and recruitment opportunities by STEM corporate companies. This is a great way for companies to get their name out there, network and scout new talent without spending a lot of resources.

“Having hosted successful development events such as the Africa MBA Indaba, we believe that by bringing employers, relative organisations and students into one room, we can promote a whole world of opportunities such as Internships, learnerships and scholarships to enable young individuals to achieve their best potential” said Eric James Wright, CEO of Africa MBA Indaba, event organisers.

“Students will be able to take advantage of our extensive conference program which will help guide them and alumni through their STEM journeys and will touch on topics like women in STEM, young entrepreneurship, managing life and finances in the working world and so forth”.

The STEM Conference & Career Expo kicks off the annual National Science Week, another initiative which this year is themed “Deepening our democracy through science”.
