MNSAT “International Conference on Micro & NanoSatellites, held in Rabat the capital of Morocco on November 19-20, 2018 featuring invited speakers from major aerospace industries like IEEE Aerospace, Surrey Space Center and much more.

Delegates from 12 countries attended the conference representing Algeria, Morocco, USA, Kuwait, UK, Palestine, Sweden, Italy, India, Mexico, Egypt and Spain.

The conference gathered all industry sectors interesting in Small Satellites research, and commercial applications from academics, governments, businesses and public / private TV & Radio broadcasters. Major sector include:

  • Earth Observation
  • Agriculture & remote sensing
  • Marine and fishing
  • Mining
  • Topography and geometry
  • Oil & Gas industry
  • Civil, government and urban works
  • Energy
  • Telecommunication and tracking system

The MNSAT conference covered all the aspects of micro – nano satellite including architecture, component technologies, guidance, navigation, control, infrastructure, such as ground station systems and launch opportunity, R&D applications & missions, regulatory issues and education. Key topics focused on Nano-Micro Satellite missions, Nano – Micro Satellite Technologies and infrastructure, Telecommunication & Satellite Applications

The MNSAT was organized with the objective to bring together researchers, developers, industries and experts from academia and space industry sectors working in space industry, nano and micro satellite fabrication, consulting, telecommunication and ground station, and launch services. The conference served as a forum for the dissemination of state-of-the-art research, development, implementation of micro and nano satellite technologies and its applications.

Participants share how they’ve used innovations in technology to increase the impact of their work. Highly interactive and hands-on, the conference attracts a diverse audience of technical advisors, executives, and others who offer a range of practical insights on applying technology to development, humanitarian, and conservation challenges.

The KSF Space was initially founded to enable cost-effective access to LEO with zero-environmental impact flying solutions. The foundation offers access to near-space and LEO for research and scientific experiments in many fields, such as Earth or Space Observation, biological testing, satellite positioning detection, earth magnetic field measurement, radio transmit, atmosphere science and technology experiment. The foundation encourage universities to develop R&D missions using small sats as these tiny spacecraft have become one of the most important elements in developing future scientific space missions.

The key objective of MNSAT is to create a program that achieves a balance between theory and practice, academia and industry, systems/tools-oriented research and content creation.
