The Egyptian Space Agency (EgSA) CEO, Dr Mohamed Al-Qousi, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the interim CEO of the South African National Space Agency (SANSA), Mrs Andiswa Mlisa. The MoU was signed in the presence of Dr Mohammed Khalil Iraqi, Vice President of the Egyptian Space Agency, and His Excellency Ambassador Fadl Nasr El-Din, Deputy Foreign Minister and Director of North Africa and Middle East Department at the South African Foreign Ministry.
The parties signed the MoU for cooperation in space and the peaceful use of outer space for various purposes. The primary goal is to activate mechanisms for cooperation in space activities, research and exploration for peaceful purposes. Furthermore, the MoU encourages exchanging knowledge and experience between the two countries and leveraging available human resources and techniques.
At the end of the event, Dr Al-Qousi presented the Egyptian Space Agency’s shield to Mrs Andiswa Mlisa, the interim CEO of the South African Space Agency.
