SALES & MARKETING MANAGER (Location: ANYWHERE)

Job Description

  1. Meets marketing and sales financial objectives
  2. Determines annual and gross-profit plans by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas for regions; projecting expected sales volume and profit for existing and new products; analyzing trends and results; establishing pricing strategies; recommending selling prices; monitoring costs, competition, supply, and demand.
  3. Accomplishes marketing and sales objectives by planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating advertising, merchandising, and trade promotion programs; developing field sales action plans.
  4. Identifies marketing opportunities by identifying consumer requirements; defining market, competitor’s share, and competitor’s strengths and weaknesses; forecasting projected business; establishing targeted market share.
  5. Improves product marketability and profitability by researching, identifying, and capitalizing on market opportunities; improving product packaging; coordinating new product development.
  6. Sustains rapport with key accounts by making periodic visits; exploring specific needs; anticipating new opportunities.
  7. Provides information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends.
  8. Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations, attending international conferences.

Job Requirement

Financial Planning and Strategy, Marketing Concepts, Positioning, People Management, Territory Management, Sales Planning, Competitive Analysis, Understanding the Customer, Product Development, Client Relationships, Creative Services. A knowledge of the space industry will be a key advantage.

  • A degree in Marketing, Business, Mathematics or other related field (equivalent proven professional experience may be considered in lieu of degree)
  • Advanced knowledge of AdWords, Analytics, SQL, Microsoft Office and other relevant third-party tools
  • Proficient in developing pivot tables, advanced data analytics and problem solving
  • Experience in fast-paced, deadline driven environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills with attention to detail
  • Excellent at customer service
  • Google AdWords Certification is a plus
  • Google Analytics Certification is a plus

We are looking for a passionate certified Data Analyst. The successful candidate will turn data into information, information into insight and insight into business decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports
  • Develop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality
  • Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems
  • Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
  • Work with management to prioritize business and information needs
  • Locate and define new process improvement opportunities

Requirements

  • Proven working experience as a data analyst or business data analyst
  • Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques
  • Strong knowledge of and experience with reporting packages (Business Objects etc), databases (SQL etc), programming (XML, Javascript, or ETL frameworks)
  • Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets (Excel, SPSS, SAS etc)
