Magda Cocco and Helena Correia
Magda Cocco and Helena Correia Mendonça are space law specialists who have been working on the development and drafting of national space strategies and national space laws across African countries. They advise on space contracts, including satellite building, launching and operation, development and supply of components, and cooperation as well as know-how agreements. They equally assist in the assignment of orbital slots and in matters relating to spaceports, space surveillance and tracking, and space cyber-security. Magda Cocco is the Partner of Vieira de Almeida & Associados (VdA), an international law firm that focuses on ICT law, as well as the Aviation, Space and Defence areas of legal practice. Helena Correia Mendonça is a Principal Consultant in VdA’s ICT and Space legal practice areas.
