Application opens for postgraduate programs in Space Science and Technology – an Initiative of the Nigerian Space Agency

The National Space Research and Development Agency (NASRDA) is collaborating with the African University of Science and Technology (AUST) to offer postgraduate training and courses on space applications and space engineering.

The African University of Science and Technology (AUST) is a private, co-educational, research university located in Abuja, Nigeria. The mission of AUST is to advance knowledge through applied research and offering structured instruction with a focus on science, engineering, technology and even applications to policy.  

Applications are opened for M.Sc. and Ph.D. in the following courses

  1. ·         M.Sc. Space Physics
  2. ·         M.Sc. Systems Engineering
  3. ·         M.Sc. Aerospace Engineering
  4. ·         M.Sc. Geoinformatics and GIS
  5. ·         Ph.D. Space Physics
  6. ·         Ph.D. Systems Engineering
  7. ·         Ph.D. Aerospace Engineering
  8. ·         Ph.D. Geoinformatics and GIS

The application for the 2019/2020 session will be available until the 15th of November, 2018. The University selects candidates including interviews from the 12th – 19th of November, 2018. Classes starts on the 7th of January, 2019 till the 19th of December,2019 and the last date to submit M.Sc. projects is on the 8th of March 2020.  

Under normal circumstances, only candidates with a minimum of upper second class (2:1) Undergraduate degree will be considered for admission into any M.Sc. programme. In addition, satisfactory performance in an entrance examination applies. For admission into Ph.D. programmes, contact the Director for Academic Planning

AUST has historically supported all its students with financing from an institutional scholarship program but these are not sponsored programmes, applicants must secure funding themselves. Details of fees applicable to each programme can be found on
