The Management Office of the National Space Program of Angola, Gabinete de Gestão do Programa Espacial Angolano (GGPEN) have announced that they now have a new headquarters for the agency. The new headquarter was commissioned and declared open by the Minister of Telecommunications, Information Technologies and Social Communication (MINTTICS), Engineer Manuel Homem.
GGPEN is an agency under the MINTTICS, hence the new office was a project of the ministry. The Management Office for the National Space Program was established through the Presidential Decree of Angola 154/13, page 2673. The body’s mission is to develop strategic studies aimed at establishing cooperation agreements with technical and scientific institutions in the space domain and ensuring the creation of national technological and human competences and the transfer of technology and know-how within the scope of the National Space Program.
The new GGPEN office is located at the Classical Administrative Complex of Talatona, Rua do MAT, Building nº 3, 6th Floor, Belas – Luanda, Angola. The Agency organizes a series of training, researches and other important projects, and the new office will allow it to work effectively towards the actualization of its objectives.Â
