Angola and Japan have signed a space cooperation agreement allowing Angola to send young engineers to Japan for specialised training in aerospace engineering. Over time, the agreement will culminate in building the required skilled human resources to take charge of space systems development projects and play right into Angola’s vision of a mass nationwide capacity development programme in space technologies development.

The space agreement was signed by the DG of the National Space Program Management Office, Dr Zolana João, in the presence of the Angolan Minister of Telecommunications, Information Technologies and Social Communication, Mário Oliveira.
